Market Hall Bakery

At Market Hall Bakery we use real ingredients because they taste better: vanilla, butter, extra virgin olive oil, artisan flour and seasonal fruit. No asterisks or trademarks.

We are part of the Market Hall Foods family and we aren’t afraid to explore the cheese counter, pluck a blood orange from the produce store or play with a sassy seasonal jam. But mostly we focus on classics. And very special specialties, like challah made with extra virgin olive oil, seasonal pizzas, Valrhona chocolate panna cotta and seed & cheese crackle—did we mention we share an address with one of the greatest cheese counters in the Bay Area?

Our most popular cake—sponge cake drenched in a custard sauce of condensed milk, sour cream, and dark rum, and frosted with whipped cream.

Princess Cake - $38/X

Dome-shaped three layer white chiffon cake filled with a generous layer of pastry cream and a thin layer of raspberry preserves. Frosted with Chantilly cream and covered with smooth marzipan. Available in a variety of pastel colors.

A luscious flourless cake made with Guittard bittersweet chocolate, fresh cream and a touch of brandy. (gluten free)

Most of our frosted cakes are available in these sizes except where otherwise noted. Most cakes in our bakery case are also available by the slice. For cake orders please give 48 hours notice. If you have less than 48 hours please call the bakery, we have many 6" and 8" cakes available in store daily.
