One bite-per-minute for 23 hours...61 tastes per hour...1,400 samples over three days. Think you could handle this? Luckily, our Product Manager Linda Sikorski was up for the challenge. She just returned home from a marathon tasting of 1,400 new products in New York City for the 2009 Annual Sofi Awards.
Linda was invited to be a part of the exclusive judging panel for the 2009 Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation Awards. The winners will be announced this summer at the Fancy Food Show in New York.
As much as we'd love to tell you about some of the products,, we cannot reveal anything about the judging since it's not over. This weekend was about whittling the list down from 1,400 to about 200 - then the panel will reconvene to choose the winners in each category.
