Cashiers for The Pasta Shop

Both locations of The Pasta Shop are seeking stellar cashiers. You'll need to be organized, efficient and have a can-do attitude. This is a 32 hours-a-week position. Nights and weekends are a must.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in all sales transactions
  • Handle cash, checks, and credit cards with attention to detail
  • Keep cash drawer and receipts organized
  • Provide superior customer service — you are the final impression we give to our customers!

Deli Specialists for The Pasta Shop

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 32-40 hours a week (weekends included)
  • Serve prepared specialty food to-go (deli style)
  • Build product knowledge, sell product to customers
  • Use cash register
  • Assist with catering and special order pick-up (including Thanksgiving and special holiday menus)

Grocery Associates for The Pasta Shop

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build product knowledge and sell, sell, sell!

Cheese Specialist for The Pasta Shop

Must love cheese! The Pasta Shop on 4th Street has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic cheese specialist. Experience and knowledge of cheese is required, as is full-time availability, including nights and weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and handling fine cheese from around the world
  • Using creativity to merchandise bountiful cheese displays
  • Selling quality cheese with the cheesemakers' intentions in mind
  • Engaging with customers about cheese and wine pairings and menu planning
  • Expanding your knowledge within the world of cheese to better educate our valued customers

Production Manager for Market Hall Bakery

We are a growing, successful 27-year family-owned business and we're building a new space (with equipment to match) in which to produce our diverse, high-quality product line of breads, pastries and cakes. We generate product for our retail bakery, catering department, produce market and online business.

The production manager will work with a team to create systems for production, inventory, and cost control. He or she will establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Strong people skills are a must, as this person will be coordinating and scheduling production with managers and supervisors.

Requirements Include:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in volume baking
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A good palate
  • Highly organized
  • Having created production systems with view to cost controls
  • Spanish language skills important
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities
  • Good computer skills

AR/AP/Operations Assistant

This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a great attention to detail.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist customers in all sales transactions

  • Provide superior customer service -- you are the final impression we give to our customers!

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in AR/AP and/or inventory management.
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and demonstrate initiative
  • Provide superior customer service -- you are the final impression we give to our customers!
  • Experience delivering superior customer service (friendly, creative, proactive and professional phone demeanor)
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication, analytical and decision making skills required
  • Experience in Inventory Management a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. Knowledge of an Accounting System, Excel, Word and 10 key is required. The position is initially part-time M-F 9am-1pm, with the possibility of moving to full-time in the near future. Compensation commensurate with experience.
